Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1986 Chevrolet MONTE CARLO recalls can be found in this database. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: Ever want to be the most intimidating and interesting person at every stoplight? This 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS is a road-legal tribute built to Darrell Waltrip's #17 Tide NASCAR racer. And while the stroker V8, upgraded transmission, and reinforced suspension make it a true stock car contender, this also remains comfortable with an A/C interior. So it's built to be driver, and there's no better way to turn heads everywhere you go. NASCAR fans need no introduction to this car. Darrell Waltrip is a true legend, and his Tide livery is iconic. So they recreated this look by painting the whole car the vibrant orange. Then all the sponsorship decals, as well as yellow and white rear fade are all part of a detailed wrap. The whole package is quite complete, and it has that hint of use so that it looks like it spent a few races out on the track. You'll even love the details, like the headlight covers, hood pins, rear spoiler, and racecar wheels. And while this one looks like it's off to the races, beneath the surface there's a lot more usefulness than just a competition appearance. The interior does a good job of giving you the racecar look and feel without taking out the everyday usability. For example, you have RaceQuip harness to make the seats look competition-ready, but unlike racing seats, they still kept the Monte Carlo's wide high-back buckets that are all-day comfortable. This has a roll bar installed, but it doesn't prevent you from using the back seats. And while you can tack up the window net for a true stock car look, you first need to roll down the power windows. There's also cruise control, a tilt steering column, the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, and cold-blowing air conditioning. But this comfortable interior still does give you the race-ready feeling. You have a B&M Quicksilver shifter, full auxiliary readouts, and a large Sunpro tach with shift light. There's even the large NASCAR-style rear view mirror. Under the hood is a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8. It's larger than the current NASCAR regulations, because after all, they'd go bigger if they could, too! This mighty V8 is said to have been rebuilt only about 3k miles ago. Plus, it has all the right go-fast goodies, like aluminum heads, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, HEI ignition, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. Headers add even more power as they connect with the race-style side exhaust. The 700R4 four-speed transmission has been built for performance and has a stall converter. But don't forget it also has the usefulness of overdrive. This mix of performance and practicality is continued on the upgraded boxed rear suspension arms, lowering springs, limited-slip rear end, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front. Just imagine what people will think when you pull up to stoplights next to them. This is the fun tribute with a cool look and a nice practical side.
