Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 2004 Porsche 911 recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 2004 Porsche 911 problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet - Black on Black - 3.6L Flat6 w/6-Speed Manual - 68k Miles - AWD - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) An extremely clean, lower mileage Carrera with 3 pedals is a car that always excites us. This car fits the aforementioned criteria, in addition to a number of other great features. Our client purchased the car approximately 15 years ago when it was a nearly new car, and used it as a summer car for occasional drives. The 996 generation of Carrera received a number of new styling cues that were carried into the other Porsche vehicles like the Cayenne and Boxster. The shape and styling of the Carrera however, is simply unmistakable. Black paint covers all the curves on this Carrera, and a matching black leather interior finishes off the dark color theme. Facelifted headlights and tail lights with clear turn signals are noticeable features, since this car was produced a bit later in the 996 generation. Inside and out, this car has been well kept and it shows. Other than the dashboard housing the familiar 5 gauges, the interior features heated seats, Porsche Radio/stereo, wind deflectors, silver center console trim, and power top. Just the right amount of creature comforts for a driver's car like a Carrera. Thanks to assistance from the all wheel drive system, this Carrera sticks to the road like a fly on fly paper, or like bugs on the front of your car after a spirited backroads drive on a summer evening. (A great activity in a Porsche like this one.) The 3.6L flat-6 at the rear of the car provides over 300 horsepower, and gear selection is handled through a 6 speed manual transmission. Handsome 5 spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli PZero tires provide some visual interest to the classic shape of the Carrera. Whether testing the limits of the all wheel drive system on an empty backroad, or going out to dinner on the weekend, this Cabriolet is up for the task. Versatility is one thing that Carreras are known for and this one is no different. With only 68k miles, all wheel drive, and 3 pedals, this Carrera is a prime example of an iconic car from Stuttgart.
